John Loder

Investment Director

John is an Investment Director in Nesta’s Impact Investment Team, leading our work to back ventures that align with A Healthy Life Mission.

John started his investment career at Merrill Lynch, before moving to become a founding partner at the investment fund Corin Capital. After a decade in the City, John moved to The Young Foundation, working on supporting and catalyzing innovation in healthcare. He then moved to Nesta where, before joining the impact investment team he led on Digital Health strategy, as well as contributing to a variety of programmes supporting innovators and influencing thinking and policy in Health.

John is a Board Director for Nesta investments Third Space Learning and Oomph, and Observer for Skin Analytics and ProFinda. He is a Trustee of the Swaziland Charitable Trust, and oversees a small hill farm in the borders of Scotland.
